What does it take to be a Peaceful Warrior of the Earth?

In this playful club we learn about what connects us with the planet around us. How can we empower ourselves to find food and medicine right in our own backyard, and what does it take to truly steward the planet?

This is an adventure of connection with loads of fun games, art projects, gardening, medicine making, nature skills and storytelling, all while strengthening our commitment to honor our planet.

Earth Warriors is full of creative play, exploration and adventure!
We personalize each week to the specific strengths and challenges of each child.

Depending on the time of year, our focus for the day might be gardening, nature skills, cooking, herbalism, art, building and more! Usually it is a combo of several of these each day.

Intimate class size allows us to build deeper relationships, and facilitate the development of skills such as teamwork and communication, problem-solving, patience and flexibility, self confidence, gratitude, and respect for nature. These skills are woven into the rhythm of each day.

Our mission is to create opportunities for people to experience a deep connection with nature, each other, and themselves. Earth Warriors is a nature-based education and mentorship program rooted in exploration, creativity, shared responsibility, and mutual respect.

Participation Expectations

To preserve the integrity of this experience, participants are expected to:

• Follow direction and safety instructions from group leaders.
• Demonstrate safe behavior around tools, natural materials, animals, and the shared space.
• Respect the personal boundaries, belongings, and physical safety of others.
• Participate in the group without requiring continuous one-on-one supervision.

Program Fit & Support

We warmly welcome children of diverse backgrounds, abilities, learning styles, and identities, and believe every child deserves opportunities to connect with nature. At the same time, we recognize the limitations of our small group program.

We are committed to providing guidance, encouragement, and behavioral support within our group setting. However, Earth Warriors is not structured to provide ongoing one-on-one supervision or behavioral support, and may not be the right fit for every child.

The best experiences are created when our program structure aligns with the needs of each child.

Parent Partnership

We value open communication and encourange parents to reach out with any questions or concerns.

We also ask families to disclose, before enrollment, any behavioral, developmental, medical, or other support needs that could affect their child’s participation or require support beyond what our program is able to provide. This helps us determine together whether Earth Warriors is a good fit and maintain a safe, positive experience for everyone.

If concerns arise during the program, we will communicate openly with families and make reasonable efforts to support each child’s success within the scope of our program. If a child’s supervision or support needs continue to exceed what our program can reasonably provide, we reserve the right to pause enrollment or determine that another setting would better meet the child’s needs.

Safety

Behavior that places the safety or wellbeing of participants, staff, animals, or property at risk, including serious safety concerns or physical aggression, may result in immediate parent pickup or dismissal from the program.

When Our Program Isn’t the Right Fit

If it is determined that our program is not the right fit for a child, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the timing of the decision, the portion of the program completed, and whether the vacated space can reasonably be filled. Our goal is to be fair both to enrolled families and to the sustainability of our small programs.

TUITION

Tuition for each 10-week session is $700.

We offer a 10% discount for families with multiple siblings attending:

$1260 for 2 siblings
$1890 for 3 siblings

CANCELLATIONS

Your tuition includes a 25% non-refundable deposit. If you need to cancel your child’s enrollment for any reason before the halfway point of the session, we will refund your prorated tuition minus the deposit amount as long as the opening can reasonably be filled. After the halfway point, tuition is not refundable.

MISSED CAMP DAYS (Absences)

Because we purchase supplies, schedule staff, and reserve a spot specifically for each child, we are unable to offer refunds or prorated tuition for missed camp days due to illness, injury, travel, or other unforeseen circumstances.

WEATHER & AIR QUALITY

Our nature camps are generally 100% outdoors and we meet rain or shine.

We carefully monitor weather and air quality before and during each camp day. For sudden severe weather, we take shelter in the concrete root cellar area of our home. During Winter Session, we sometimes eat lunch indoors, to dry and warm any wet outer gear.

If extreme weather, unhealthy air quality, or another unforeseen event creates unsafe conditions, we may modify our activities, shorten the camp day, or cancel camp if necessary.

Tuition is non-refundable for cancellations due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control, but if a full camp day must be cancelled, we will determine any credits for a future session.
