Hands-on Earthbag Building
Our beautiful Earthbag retaining wall, built by the many hands of friends and family last fall, is in need of an extension around the corner of the house to prevent rainstorm erosion.
Please stop out this weekend if you’d like to learn about this amazing building technique and help us finish the wall!
“Earthbag construction is an inexpensive method using mostly local soil to create structures which are both strong and can be quickly built.”
I’ll be sharing all I’ve learned about this natural building technique, as well as giving a tour of our place at lunchtime each day.
We’ll be working in the shade of our beautiful big elm tree both days.
