Summer Camps 2018

“This place is awesome! Can we come back here?” ~Neil, Age 9

Earth WarriorsIn addition to Earth Warriors Nature Club…
we are excited to announce our summer camps this season!

Our classes are full of creative play, exploration and adventure!

Intimate class size allows us to facilitate the development of skills such as teamwork and communication, thankfulness, self confidence, patience and flexibility, problem-solving, and respect for nature.

These skills are woven invisibly into each of our summer day camps through storytelling, active questioning, engaging nature activities, art and games.

  • 10am-3pm each day
  • 5:1 child to adult ratios
  • 100% outdoor (rain or shine)
  • Children bring their own lunch & snack

“This is way better than playing video games at home!” ~Maia, Age 8

Earth Artists: Creating with Nature

Three days of cultivating our creativity, making art at every turn. Using nature to make art, using nature to inspire art.

All great naturalists and great artists pay attention to the details that are hidden inside ordinary things. The forms of art that we explore in this camp are chosen to help create community and bring us closer to nature: making pigment from berries, working with the clay from the land, collage with found materials, and more. Let imagination, creativity and natural wonder lead the way!

June 26-28
Tuesday-Thursday: 10am-3pm
Ages 5-12, $125

Medicine Makers

As every budding herbalist knows, there is nothing more empowering than finding the medicine we need right from the plants in our own backyards.

In these three days, we’ll be practicing reverence with harvesting and preparing our own remedies from the land, and learning safe ways to handle and consume them.

And of course, we’ll have plenty of time for earth connecting games and play!

We have two dates available for this camp this year, due to demand!  Each week will be unique as we will be working with the plant medicine as it is ripens through the season, so feel free to register for both or just one.
