We were able to get the topsoil scraped away into a pile, and then separate the next 12 inches of clay into another pile. (We’ll use this clay later as it’s the perfect mix for our cob rocket stove inside the house.) All and all, a pretty exciting day!

Including greens we planted and “weeds” that just pop up, like oxalis (sheep sorrel) and lambs quarters (wild spinach). Yum!

We have a circle driveway now! No more tight parking for drop offs for our classes! Thanks so much to our apprentice, Shelley, for helping with this project and so many others this past weekend!

We thought you’d enjoy this photo from today’s Nature Club. Our theme today was water and all of its connections. The kids filled up this WHOLE garbage bag with trash today on our field trip to Perch Lake! They did so great working together and helping to clean up the shoreline. Gib had a great question at the end though…”So how do we stop people from coming here after we leave and dumping more trash?” Very good question, Gib, that is a VERY good question.

Hi All! Many of you have been asking how we are doing this season, so I thought I’d share another tour, this time of our summertime set-up. We’ve moved outside and are all so thankful for the infinite space that Mother Nature provides compared to the 198 sq ft this winter in the bus. Whew!
So, this is our set-up as we get ready to start building the main home in the next month. For more details about that endeavor, please check out our campaign here:

We hope to see you on the land soon!
Blessings,
